Predictive Dialer Tutorial

A predictive dialer, many companies will have these systems in place as this can save a lot of time and energy for many people. This computerized system is able to dial a lot of telephone numbers at once and then they can be patched through to the agents or representatives as a normal phone call. There is a lot of call and marketing centers that deals with these systems; for productivity, it can be increased greatly in a short time.
Without a predictive dialer system in place, callers can make around fifteen to many twenty minutes of call time, however with a predictive dialer this can generate almost forty to fifty seven minutes of call time.
The advantages of a predictive dialer; firstly, for so many call center employees, they can use one of these predictive dialers to use many outbound calls. The system will screen out things which are not going to be best for calling, such as hitting fax machine lines, answering machine lines and even getting busy signals on the telephone lines also. If the line rings and is answer, at once it will be sent to an agent, this will truly help to cut down on the hours which are wasted by call centers hitting deadlines.
With a predictive dialer, this is going to be able to call a great number of lines at the same time and calls which are answered and not hitting a deadline goes completely to the agent at the call center. The information will appear on screen in front of the call center agent and they can start from there as normal. They can see who they are talking to and can start normally going through with their work perfectly.
What is great about this predictive dialer also is that it can be programmed so if the person who the agent called says they do not want to be contacted again then the entire agent will have to do is the disposition the callers information from the predictive dialer and that is it, they won’t be called again. Even if the personal being called asks for a call back then the predictive dialer will be able to arrange for that also. When a successful call is made and the person wants to go through with whatever they are looking for then the dialer can disposition the call again for that particular area.
The disadvantages of a predictive dialer; well there are of course disadvantages of using a predictive dialer on both sides of the coin. That is because if the dialer dials four or five numbers at once and they all are answered but there is only one or two agents to take the call then the calls will be dropped that don’t get answered. Now think about if you are at home and the phone rings and you answer it but there is not one person on the line – you think you are getting funny phone calls.
Consumer action?
Well most phones today will have the caller ID, so with this, you have the number and the caller behind it also. You can go ahead and complain if the company which is making a lot of outgoing calls and is bothering you greatly. There are many laws that the government has created and put into place so that residence does not need to be bothered by nuisance calls.
If you go to the Do Not Call Registry office and actually go ahead and file a complaint over the nuisance calls; with this complaint the Federal Trade Commission will then go ahead and investigate the company or companies which are sending nuisance calls. This could later lead to some police action if the Federal Trade Commission finds the company to be in the wrong.
